Kyrie Irving Is Dropping a 'SpongeBob SquarePants'-Themed Nike Kyrie 5
More TV show-inspired silhouettes on the way.
Kyrie Irving continues to lay down the heat for his signature Nike Kyrie 5 silhouette. After releasing the “Mamba Mentality” for Mamba Day 2019, a vibrant Friends edition, and the cool “Have a Nike Day” model earlier this year, Irving will be teaming up with Nickelodeon‘s SpongeBob SquarePants.
The bold yellow pair was shared earlier today via @leo_zd_37, and by the looks of it, it takes clear inspiration from the show’s lead character. The upper is dressed in a vibrant yellow which includes “spongey” accents to mimic SpongeBob’s body, while the midsole is dressed in a trifecta of brown, white and red; just like the shirt, tie and shorts he wears. Finally Kyrie’s insignia can be seen on the tongue tab while a Nickelodeon emblem has been placed on the overlay.
So far no official photos or release date has been shared for the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired Nike Kyrie 5, but keep it locked here for more details when they surface. Rumors are also circulating that a Patrick Star colorway is also in the works.
