J.I.D Creates His Own Horror Flick for New "151 Rum" Video
Another visual in support of his ‘DiCaprio 2’ project.
Following up March’s music video for “Off Da Zoinkys,” J.I.D is back with another new visual in support of his 2018 studio album DiCaprio 2. This time around, the Dreamville lyricist links up with director Scott Lazer to create his own short horror flick for one of his recent project’s standout records, “151 Rum.” Notably, J.I.D’s Dreamville cohort Ari Lennox, Lute and the song’s producer DJ Christo also make appearances in the “151 Rum” clip.
“It’s not what I expected it to be but I love it and I appreciate the journey it took me through to get me here,” J.I.D shared in a previous Instagram statement created to introduce “151 Rum,” which was originally released as the lead single in support of DiCaprio 2. “Each song feels like a individual film to me, mac came thru and helped post produce and organize on almost every song on here, I worked on being a better writer, even outside of punchlines and shit, like I can rap all f*ckn day but I like writing songs and shit too, whatever, like I really just challenged my self to becoming better, period, plus me and you guys (us) have formed a special bond and that can’t be taken lightly, I appreciate every like, follow, message anyone that has ever sent, told someone about my music, trolled me, anything.”
