Amazon Has a DIY House That Can Be Built in Eight Hours
All in a day’s work.
The seller of virtually everything, Amazon’s listings now include a minimalistic DIY house, which can be assembled by two adults in just eight hours, as uncovered by Marie Claire.
Reminiscent of Japanese retailer MUJI’s micro-huts, the miniature “Solvalla” home stands at 172 square feet and was created by the company Allwood Outlet. It can make for a nifty garden house, guest suite, or office, among other ideas, and features a simple grey and white palette on the exterior. Several windows for natural light and an awning that extends over the outdoor area complete the fixture.
Unfortunately for crafty customers, the $7,250 USD home is currently unavailable. However, Allwood has a selection of other DIY-style residences still up for grabs, including its contemporary Arlanda XL garden house (priced at $9,790 USD) and its more traditional Lillevilla Escape cabin ($4,990 USD).
