The Losers Club Is All Grown up in 'IT: Chapter 2'
Watch the horrifying first trailer.
It’s been almost two years since Warner Bros. terrified us with its remake of Stephen King‘s literary classic IT. Although only a few details on the sequel have been shared since, fans now finally have their first official look at the forthcoming horror, IT: Chapter 2.
The follow-up film takes place nearly three decades after the events of 2017’s IT, considering the evil that revisits the town of Derry, Maine comes every 27 years. With the members of The Losers Club noticeably much older, each returns to their hometown to try to defeat the evil Pennywise/IT that disguises himself as a clown. Additionally the original cast of children, which includes Finn Wolfhard of Stranger Things, can be seen in flashback footage.
Directed by Andy Muschietti, IT: Chapter 2 stars Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, and Andy Bean as Stanley Uris. Reprising his role as Pennywise is Bill Skarsgård.
See if IT: Chapter 2 can surpass its own status of being the highest grossing horror film of all-time when it hits theaters September 6, 2019. The first chapter managed to pull in $700 million USD off a budget of $35 million USD.
