ACC STUDIO's Aggressively Upcycled Vintage Goods Surface at BERBERJIN Pop-Up
ASAP Rocky, Playboi Carti and ASAP Ferg are fans.

ACC STUDIO is a Los Angeles-based design collective obsessed with dynamic, progressive revisions of staple clothing. The newest release from the imprint is a selection of upcycled vintage wares under its “LaRopa Vintage” sublabel, which will be launched exclusively at a pop-up at Japan’s BERBERJIN.
Based in Tokyo, BERBERJIN operates several vintage stores offering a wide array of curated goods that often serve as inspiration for peers like Blackmeans and LABRAT, who return the favor by granting BERBERJIN exclusive items. BERBERJIN’s open-minded approach to vintage goods makes it a natural fit for ACC STUDIO’s heavily-reworked upcycled garments.
Encompassing plentiful cuts, colors and silhouettes, the LaRopa Vintage offering is anything but understated, with 39 intensively-reworked layering pieces and trousers on hand. These include fringed suede jackets, work jackets and jeans dyed and printed with over-the-top LaRopa lip-print branding and abstract shapes. Countless safety pins bolster the fly of several pleated, flared and cropped jeans, while hoodies receive a mud-dye treatment. Leather pants are splattered with paint and oversized skulls accent longline sweaters, a bold treatment that provides a thematic complement to sweaters with hand-stitched LaRopa flags and heavily-studded hoodies.
The LaRopa Vintage pop-up begins May 4 at BERBERJIN Shibuya. If you’re not in Japan, head to ACC STUDIO’s website to peruse the brand’s wares.
