'Kong: Skull Island' Director Sports Custom Off-White™ x AJ1 to 'Detective Pikachu' Premiere
Inspired by the electric mouse himself.

As Detective Pikachu approaches its global release later this month, Kong: Skull Island director, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, was seen sporting a custom Pikachu-inspired pair of the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 at the film’s premiere.
The custom kicks come from New York-based artist stompinggroundcustoms, known for his widely popular Dragon Ball Super: Broly-inspired kicks. These AJ’s sport Pikachu’s iconic electric bolt tail instead of the classic check, and of course is dipped in a yellow and white colorway. True to his several other designs, the kicks feature bolden lines throughout the model, highlighting the toebox and outsoles.

In the greatest achievement of my life…
I collaborated with the young legend #stompinggroundcustoms to create a custom PIKACHU Off-White Jordan 1 for the #DetectivePikachuMovie premiere. I don’t know how I’ll go back to wearing non-Pokémon themed sneakers.
