Yo Gotti Shows off His Shiny Jewelry Collection
“Strawberry Diamonds.”
Back in March, we got to see some of 2 Chainz’s flashy jewelry collection as part of GQ‘s On The Rocks series. This time around, the latest episode features Southern rapper Yo Gotti, showing off some of his most prized accessories.
Set behind a bright pink backdrop, the video begins with the artist talking about his white Cuban link, quoted at $45,000 USD. He mentions his preference for wearing the white Cuban together with the rose: “White jewelry to me looks the richest. Clean and rich. And then rose gold to me is when you want flavor. I call them Strawberry Diamonds.” His favorite Cuban, however, is the one that he’s wearing in the video, which he mentions is worth $90,000 USD. Next, he brings out the Roc-Nation necklace, the CMG (Collective Music Group), the name of his label, a couple of baguette chains, followed by the carrots that cost $350,000 USD.
Halfway into the video, the rapper tells a brief story about how he lost 3 of his bracelets after a night at an award show. After that, he takes out his collection of collegiate-style rings, which he calls “Superbowl” rings. Embellished with “CMG,” each ring represents a rapper under his label that he plans to give to the artists individually. The last thing Yo Gotti shows off is his shiny watch collection, mentioning a few highlights that range from $100,000 – $300,000 USD. His best-loved watch is a glistening baguette Audemars Piguet, which DJ Khaled calls “The Chandelier.” As a final note to the video, the Memphis rapper chuckles as he warns lightly of the implications of collecting jewelry: “it’s addictive, so no one should jump in the game or you might be stuck in the game.”

In other music news, a Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign collaboration, rumored to be titled “Ego Death,” has emerged.
