Nike Reworks Air Max 97 With Heat Map-Themed Colorway
Complete with gradient design.
Nike adds to its lineup of bold Air Max 97s with the Spring/Summer 2019 release of an “Ember Glow/Blue Fury” gradient colorway of the iconic nature-inspired runner.
The Air Max 97 begins with a black leather and mesh upper, alongside hues of red, teal, blue and white for a heat map-themed look. A white sole unit featuring a visible red version of the 97s full-length Air cushioning system complements the sneakers “Ember Glow” touches, which are seen on the lateral mini-Swoosh, tongue tab, vamp and outsole.
The lacing system — a technological advancement when the shoe launched in 1997 due to its sleek blended-in hidden design — is swathed in transitioning hues of “Ember Glow,” white and a soft touch of “Blue Fury.” Carrying over the shoe from the tongue, “Blue Fury” hits the back of the sneaker in full-force saturation, working the rear quarter stripes and Air Max branding.
Priced at $170 USD, pick up your pair of Air Max 97 “Ember Glow/Blue Fury” at stockists such as Finish Line.
