Ryahn Goes to the Brazilian Tropics for Latest "Popstar" Visual
The latest offering from the 20-year-old artist.
20 year-old artist Ryahn has released an intimate music video for her Sango produced single “Popstar.” Relishing in lusciously deep-seated vocals alongside beautifully-crafted melodies by the genre-bending producer. As she describes, the song “is a poem about young women conforming into the idea of what their partner sees them to be, without him understanding how difficult that is, also ‘the maintenance’ or the emotional toll it puts on us to be everything you want us to be.”
Directed by Yavez Anthonio in an analog-driven style, the visual was shot in various locations in tropical Brazil, namely locations nearby São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro where an abundance of natural enclaves are on display. The film cuts perfectly against the previously released single, marrying the two mediums in bounteous fashion. Recently Ryahn announced that an upcoming single was in the works, with a debut EP expected to follow shortly.
