Mercedes-AMG Pumps 302 Horsepower Into its 2020 CLA 35

Ahead of the New York International Auto Show, Mercedes-AMG has just unveiled the sibling to its A 35 sedan, the 2020 CLA 35. Sharing similar specs with the A 35, the car holds a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine under its hood, providing 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque; the 2020 CLA 35 is capable of a 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds — a slight 0.1 seconds faster than its counterpart. Transmission-wise, the CLA 35 uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic system powering all four wheels, giving it the ability to split torque 50/50 between the front and rear.

Much of the handling between the two models are the same: improved brakes and a lighter front suspension. Inside, the new car features two 10.25-inch screens and is MBUX voice-enabled. Sport seats come standard but buyers have the option to upgrade them to buckets. The car also comes available with the AMG Track Pace app which records and stores an array of information, including throttle inputs, lap times and G-force. It even displays driving lines so you can learn how to navigate the race track as efficiently as possible.
