The anticipation for the return of Game of Thrones keeps building, at this point even becoming unbearable. To tide fans over, HBO has just dropped a new clip which teases the aftermath of the big battle for the Iron Throne that lays ahead.

Running at just over one-minute long, the visuals show the aftermath of a snow- and ice-covered Winterwell while cries and screaming can be heard in the background. As eerie music plays over the scenes, viewers are also given a look at a tattered House Stark banner flapping in the wind and damaged objects belonging to to the main characters including Sansa’s feather, Bran’s wheelchair, Daenerys’ chain, Tyrion’s Hand of the Queen pin, Jaime’s Golden Hand, Jon Snow’s Valyrian steel sword Longclaw, and Arya’s sword Needle. Finally we see the Night King standing amongst the wreckage at the end.

“Aftermath” takes on the same eerie theme as the Season 8 teaser shared during the premiere of True Detective Season 3 which sees Jon, Sansa and Arya starting at their own graves in the Stark crypt.

Game of Thrones returns April 14 on HBO.
