The evolution of Shinola‘s flagship timepiece continues with its latest offering, the Runwell Automatic. Equipped with an automatic movement that features 26 jewels and a 38-hour power reserve, the timepiece signals an impressive next chapter for the brand’s signature style.
The Runwell Automatic is recognizable but refreshed with thoughtful details that mark its evolution. For this iteration, the Detroit-based company employs the Sellita SW200-1. Viewable through a domed window on the caseback, the Swiss automatic movement powers the timepiece’s hours, minutes, seconds and calendar aperature.
The original Runwell’s polished appearance, notable for its clean watch face and stainless steel case, was an instant hit when it was introduced in 2013. Keeping in step with this, the new version is updated with microtracking and a richly printed watch dial. The timepiece will be available in two sizes, 39.5mm and 45mm, with leather strap and bracelet options.
The Shinola Runwell Automatic is available in Shinola stores and online now. The watch is priced at $1,095 USD for leather strap styles and $1,295 USD for bracelet styles.
