Ariana Grande & Victoria Monét Get Super Close in “Monopoly”
A surprise new single.
After teasing the track on social media and at a live show, both Ariana Grande and Victoria Monét have now shared the visuals for their new joint single, “Monopoly.”
In the two-and-a-half-minute clip, the best friends show off their close bond as they sing about their friendship. Filled with “home video” production, the clip sees the girls dancing around a rooftop while a bevy of emoji fill the screen. One line in particular that has the Internet going up in a frenzy is “I like women and men / Work so f**kin’ much, need a twinny, twin, twin” hinting that Grande could be bi-sexual. The clip also features the “motivational dancing guy” Donté Colley. Watch it above.
The new track comes just two months after Grande released her fifth studio album, thank u, next. “Monopoly” was originally intended for Grande’s Dangerous Woman but ultimately didn’t make the cut.
