Her help was needed elsewhere.
UPDATE: A new clip from the highly anticipated Infinity War saga sequel Avengers: Endgame has released, this time focusing more on the team strategizing their attack on Thanos. The key takeaway from this short clip involves Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson) and her whereabouts during the Thanos battle, where she explains that there are other planets less fortunate than Earth to have such mighty heroes. Its also worth noting Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) questioning how a re-match with Thanos “could end any differently than it did before?” which could confirm previous synopsis rumors about time travel.

ORIGINAL STORY: Marvel Studios has unveiled another action-packed mini-trailer teasing the highly-anticipated Avengers: Endgame movie, dropping to mark the launch of ticket preorder.
Featuring the return of Thanos, superheroes Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man and Bruce Banner gear up for the most epic final battle in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The remaining Avengers assemble as a unit once again and take the Guardians of the Galaxy’s ship, the Benatar, to space to fight Mad Titan.
A final teaser taps into fan fiction and all-around hopes that time travel will be brought into the movie. Tony Stark is shown to reunite with Pepper Potts, following on from the 2012 film The Avengers. In the trailer, we see Tony Stark and Captain America in what looks like the Battle of New York, which again relates back to the 2012 hit film, hinting at the much-desired time travelling component of Avengers: Endgame.
Take a look at the trailer above, and tickets are available to preorder online now. Avengers: Endgame is set to release globally on on April 26.
