Gucci Launches Temporary Décor Store in Milan
Luxe furnishings and prints galore.

In line with the Salone del Mobile design fair kicking off next week in Milan, Gucci has unveiled a temporary Décor store to showcase its luxe houseware offerings. The boutique will house new and classic styles from the brand’s home collection, including porcelains, furniture and restored antiques.
Spanning across two levels, the space is lavishly decorated with Gucci patterns and prints that line the product and wallpapers throughout. Floral motifs are prevalent on the likes of chaise lounges, dinner plates and velvet chairs. To complement the opulence of the assortment, premium details such as a marble fireplace and coffered ceiling have been added, “lending it the feel of a grand home.”
To further align with Salone del Mobile 2019, Gucci has also created a new app feature where users can explore 16 historic places in the city while different Décor pieces pop up on the screen as virtual oversized sculptures. Some of the famed locations include Piazza del Duomo and Piazza Affari, which are also outlined in an “underground style map” available at the store. Customers can also use the app to virtually place the items in their own personal environments in order to imagine what the furnishings would look like in real-time.
The temp store in Milan will remain open until June. Gucci’s Décor collection is also available to shop at select retailers, as well as Gucci’s boutiques and webstore.
