Avicii's Family Shares First Posthumous Single "SOS" Ft. Aloe Blacc
Off the upcoming album ‘Tim.’

Last week Tim Bergling’s (most prominently known as Avicii) family shared news that they would be releasing a posthumous album to celebrate the late artist. His family announced that all proceeds of the album going to the newly-setup Tim Bergling Foundation, aimed at raising awareness surrounding mental illness and suicide prevention.
As noted, the first single of the new project Tim would be released this week, which enlists R&B Soul and Funk artist Aloe Blacc, and is titled “SOS.” Fittingly so, Blacc and Avicii have worked previously on the producer’s renown 2013 hit, “Wake Me Up,” envisioning a similar Progressive House sound that is filled with well-placed melodies and synth work. The track features an interpolated melody of TLC’s “No Scrubs,” and was completed by Kristoffer Fogelmark and Nedler Kristoffer — who finished the production for Blacc’s vocals.
Avicii’s posthumous album Tim consists of songs he was working on last year before his passing, which reportedly features contributions from Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Carl Falk, and more. The album will be released via Universal Music Group on June 6. You can watch the “Fan Memories Video” as well as stream “SOS” featuring Aloe Blacc below.
In related news, Kaytranada just dropped a new single entitled “DYSFUNCTIONAL.”
