Come Tees' "WEATHER DIARIES" Is Packed With Hand-Painted Denim

Sonya Sombreuil’s Come Tees imprint is gearing up for Summer ‘19 with a selection of hand-painted denim goods as part of its WEATHER DIARIES offering. Jackets, T-shirts and jeans are all slathered in brilliant shades of color, applied by hand and washed to bring out an appropriately DIY mindset.

Though DIY screen-printed tees and painted shirts often inform Come Tees’s oeuvre, the WEATHER DIARIES CAPSULE serves up complete jacket and pant sets, offering fans one-of-one Come Tees uniforms, of a sort. Classic Hits logo tee shirts offer a conventional alternative to the vividly-painted denim, with bold black text accented by contrasting outlines and solid-toned backgrounds, the temporary store’s address scrawled upon the rear.

Rather than repurposing vintage garments, as Sombreuil has done in the past, the WEATHER DIARIES goods are all crafted exclusively for Come Tees, lending an extra touch of DIY ingenuity to the painted pieces. Swathes of blue, green, yellow, orange and red grace the collection’s denim tearaway pants and work jackets, with no two pairs alike. With each piece receiving a proper wash after being painted, the white stitching pops through the heavy colors while the lighter-hued portions turn a light, muted beige tone.

The collection hits Come Tees’ website shortly, with the logo tees dropping exclusively at the forthcoming Classic Hits storefront.
