Along with a set of visuals.
Update: The video for “CHopstix” is here. The visual was directed by Nabil and features both ScHoolboy Q and Travis Scott conducting a ballet recital. Watch the video above.
Orginal story: After teasing us late last month during his performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Top Dawg Entertainer ScHoolboy Q has officially shared the studio version of his collaborative Travis Scott single “CHopstix.”
Along with the single’s official release, ScHoolboy Q dropped a set of black-and-white visuals that showcase a group of ballerinas dancing. In an initial demo leak, Kendrick Lamar could be heard in lieu of Scott’s vocals. The new single is expected to be a feature on ScHoolboy’s upcoming album which he promised fans is “coming very very very very very soon.” His last album was 2016’s Blank Face.
In light of Nipsey Hussle’s passing last week, ScHoolboy Q told the public he would refrain from sharing any new music. Via IG stories he told fans, “I’m not putting nothing out this week, like, no. Nobody should be puttin’ nothing out this week. I don’t even know how to do these types of videos, dawg. I’m just giving y’all the real shit. I don’t wanna put no music out this week.”
In more music news, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj teased their collaborative track, “New Body.”
