Starring Uma Thurman following her role in ‘The House That Jack Built.’
Netflix has a consistent string of quality horror series including the family drama The Haunting of Hill House and teen drama The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina; the new trailer for Chambers may join its ranks. The show follows a woman (Sivan Alyra Rose) who takes on the characteristics of her heart donor after she suffers an attack. When she follows up on the donor’s death, she realizes its shrouded in mystery and that the parents (played by Uma Thurman and Tony Goldwyn) may be involved.
The synopsis reads:
“A young heart attack survivor becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life. However, the closer she gets to uncovering the truth about her donor’s sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased — some of which are troublingly sinister.”
Show creator Leah Rachel says: “Taking place in a mystic, New Age pocket of Arizona, Chambers is a psychological horror story that explores the different ways we metabolize trauma. But what starts out as a grounded human story eventually pivots into something far more strange and fucked up than you were expecting.”
