2 Chainz, Lil Wayne & E-40 Enter a Bizarre Alternate Reality for New "2 Dollar Bill" Video
One of the best songs on 2 Chainz’s latest LP.
One month after the release of Ariana Grande and 2 Chainz’s “Rule the World” video, the latter superstar goes in a different creative direction and reconnects with fellow hip-hop veterans Lil Wayne and E-40 for another new visual. This time around, the trio team up for a music video in support of “2 Dollar Bill,” one of the standout selections on 2 Chainz‘s latest studio album Rap or Go to the League. With Rap or Go the League receiving more critical acclaim than any other LP in 2 Chainz’s lengthy career, album cuts like “2 Dollar Bill” manage to stand out for the sheer amount of combined experience between all three artists involved, with several different eras of hip-hop represented on the record.
“I’m one of the few people that can work with some of everybody,” 2 Chainz explained to The Ringer‘s Rembert Browne at the beginning of last month, providing some insight into how new collaborative cuts like “2 Dollar Bill” are brought to life. “I can work with somebody on the East Coast like a De La Soul and then somebody on the West Coast like a YG. And then somebody in the South like a Lil Baby. I’m able to work with all these people. I’m able to be myself on all these tracks, even if you bump it up to a pop-star type of thing, an Ariana Grande or something like that, I’m able to adjust, fit in, and actually be myself on all of these things.”
