Avicii to Release Posthumous Album 'Tim' in June
The album’s single is expected to drop next week.
After the unexpected death of DJ and producer Avicii last April, his friends and family are releasing an album that he was working on.
The posthumous album will simply be titled TIM, after Avicii’s real name, Tim Bergling. The album will drop on June 6 while its first single, “SOS” will release on April 10 to honor the one-year anniversary of the musician’s passing.
“The family decided not to keep the music locked away — instead they wanted to share it with his fans all around the world,” stated Avicii’s team.
Proceeds from the album will go towards benefitting the Tim Bergling Foundation, which was announced earlier this year by Bergling’s family to raise awareness about mental illness and suicide prevention.
