Already packed full of impressive colorways, this time around the AM97 gets a “Shanghai Kaleidoscope” makeover thanks to designer Cash Ru. Paying homage to the bustling metropolis and its ever growing skyscraper-filled horizon, this model features white soles to symbolize the clouds while light sky blue tones have been incorporated into the majority of the shoe’s upper, from the lightweight translucent material to the suede mudguard.
Along with the aforementioned details, vibrant red Swooshes can be found on both the lateral and medial sides, as well as on the tongue tabs and inner soles. Finally three tabs have been added to the heel and a white Air unit housing midsole complete the look. Take a peep at the photos above courtesy of @J23app.
On an added note, along with five other pairs, the “Shanghai Kaleidoscope” was chosen as part of Nike’s “On Air” contest held last year on Air Max Day 2018. Look for the Nike Air Max 97 “Shanghai Kaleidoscope” to release in Shanghai on March 26. A global release for this AM97 will follow suit in April and is expected to hit Nike retailers and nike.com.
In more footwear releases, the Nike Air Force 1 receives a stained glass window premium update.
