Here's What Went Down at Mercedes-Benz's Innovative EQ Home Pop-Up at SXSW
Electrifying Austin.
Last week Mercedes-Benz unveiled its future-facing EQ Home pop-up in Austin, Texas at the tech-wing of the annual SXSW festival. Placing its revolutionary local emission-free EQC front and centre, futurologists, scientists, and tech-gurus were able to explore a number of exhibits, such as the all-electric Mercedes-Benz Formula E showcar, as well as attend events, listen to panel talks and and enjoy music acts from leading artists and visionaries. Presentations from influential speakers such as hacker-artist Thomas Webb, NASA astronaut Mike Massimino and OK Go! frontman Damian Kulash addressed the future and prospects for the kind of technology found in the local emission-free EQC and its potential to up-end the conventions of the automotive industry.
The three-days finished off with a steady stream of guests who were able to drive the all-electric Formula E show car and take in live music performances. Watch the video above to get a better look at what went on at the event and to find out more about the revolutionary technology driving the Mercedes-Benz EQC, head over to the brand’s site.
