Extra Butter Unveils 'Akira'-Inspired "Neo-Tokyo" Capsule Collection

Extra Butter has returned with a new Spring 2019 collection titled, “Neo-Tokyo”. The four offerings from the new collection are inspired by Katsuhiro Otomo‘s cyberpunk animated film, Akira.
The “Neo-Tokyo” range draws from the color palette of the film, most notably the film’s bright neon imagery, fast-paced motorcycles and ominous looming cityscapes. The result is a selection comprised of a waterproof jacket, an anorak, a hoodie and a crewneck donning a dark and inconspicuous shade, contrasted by hits of neon color around the collar area, zippers and branding. One interesting piece from the collection is the Otomo waterproof jacket complete with zippered underarm ventilation, a sealed seamed taffeta interior and semi-reflective branding on the front of the jacket.
Priced between $140 to $210 USD, the retro-future inspired “Neo-Tokyo” collection is set to release March 8 on Extra Butter’s online store.
