Mustard & Migos Host a Paintball Party for New "Pure Water" Video
The lead single in support of Mustard’s new album
Towards the beginning of this year, Mustard enlisted Migos for a new single titled “Pure Water.” Released as the lead single in support of Mustard’s upcoming studio album, “Pure Water” is currently ascending the ranks of the Billboard Hot 100, and was created specifically with clubs in mind. “I didn’t want nobody to be able to say it’s not gonna work at radio,” Mustard shares via an official statement. “I wanted to go straight to the club first.”
Now, Mustard and Migos have reconnected for the official “Pure Water” video. Notably, the clip comes to us courtesy of award-winning director Colin Tilley, who has worked with Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Future and others.
“At first it was just a song me and Quavo came up with, and then I was like, ‘No, I gotta get the whole gang on here.’ We worked our way to get everybody on there and it was … I knew what it was when I first heard it though,’ Mustard previously explained to Zane Lowe, breaking down the origins of “Pure Water.” “This is my first time working with Offset and Takeoff. Me and Quavo got an ongoing relationship ’cause we did the song ‘Want Her’ a long time ago. Now with this song, it was easier. I feel like everybody grown, even myself. With me and Quavo, it was just tag teaming, getting everybody involved, but once it came together, it was like a match made in heaven type thing.”
