'Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition' Trailer Teases Upcoming 'Rise of Skywalker' Content
All previously-released DLC from every ‘Star Wars’ era is included.
DICE and Lucasfilm released a new trailer for the upcoming Celebration Edition of Star Wars Battlefront II, revealing key details about the game; namely, that it includes all previously released and future content updates. In the footage above, it’s also revealed that the upcoming update will celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker with thematic content.
Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition will include the base game, which explores all three eras of Star Wars alongside two-years-worth of DLC and updates, including online Co-Op mode, offline Instant Action battles, and the multiplayer tug-of-war space battle mode Capital Supremacy. The game will include over 150 Appearances (cosmetic skins), with six Legendary Hero Appearances that deliver several customizations drawn from the films. It will also offer instant access to every Hero Appearance, Trooper Appearance, Emote, Voice Line and Victory Pose that can be unlocked with in-game currency.
The upcoming Rise of Skywalker DLC will offer settings and locations inspired by the film, with four new Reinforcements characters such as the Sith Trooper and Jet Trooper from the First Order, plus a Gunner and Spy from the Resistance.
Expect the new Appearances, Reinforcements, and select Co-Op experiences to be made available immediately, while a new planet will be available on December 20. Finally, new ships and support characters — like BB-8 for Captial Supremacy mode — will arrive in January 2020.
