Off-White™ Releases Photographic 'Perforated Book' Inspired by SS20 Runway Show
Fifteen models showcase the quirky Meteor Bag design.
After announcing its partnership with the Musée du Louvre for a capsule collection celebrating the life and works of Leonardo da Vinci, Off-White™ has unveiled a new book in another impressive release. The Perforated Book is centered around the brand’s Meteor Bag, which first made its debut at Paris Fashion Week during Off-White™’s “Meteor Shower” Spring/Summer 2020 runway show.
The 100% leather calf book consists of photographs taken by Ivan Ruberto in Paris. Ruberto scouted the streets and chose 15 Parisian women based on their unique personal style and “quintessential elegance.” For the shoot, each woman styled their own Off-White™ look, presenting “the essence of who they are” through their personal style. The Perforated Book highlights the brand’s vision to commit to expression of individuality and creativity for all ages in a sophisticated manner.
Inspired by the impact made by meteors and the bag’s unique aesthetic, the entire book is punctured with a hole in the lower right-hand corner. At the SS20 runway show, the same “Swiss cheese motif” informed a large range of apparel, giving rather understated dresses, T-shirts and jeans a larger visual impact.
Take a look inside Off-White™’s newest book in the gallery above. The Perforated Book and Meteor Bag are available to purchase now on Off-White™’s website for $190 and $1,655 USD, respectively.
In case you missed it, KAWS released a 350-page book, titled Companionship in the Age of Loneliness, which celebrated his exhibition of the same name at National Gallery of Victoria.
