KAPITAL Drops 40s Wool I-FIVE Varsity Jacket
Tweaking a collegiate classic.

After dropping its 14oz Denim Smile Westerner Jacket, Japanese label KAPITAL has returned with a new FW19 piece — the 40s Wool I-FIVE Varsity Jacket. Modeled after vintage varsity jackets, the garment is imbued with collegiate design inspirations alongside KAPITAL’s signature bone motifs.
Coming in cream-white and black colorways, the jackets bears a boxy cut with substantial room around the arms for a loose fit. At the upper chest, a textured “I” patch appears on the left, accented by a motif of a small harp stamped with the letter “K.” The graphic is repeated over the two sets of bones emblazoned over black leather sleeves. The main body is made of delicate wool fabrics, complemented by metal snap buttons and two welt pockets that come with leather trim. As a finishing note, double-stripe detailing appears along the ribbed cuffs, collars and hemline, calling on a distinctive vintage look.
KAPITAL’s 40s Wool I-FIVE Varsity Jacket is currently available at KAPITAL’s website for $842 USD.
Elsewhere, Stone Island has teased its SS20 collection with a new “Icon Imagery” lookbook.
