Orion Pictures has shared a first look at Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon’s highly-anticipated sequel, Bill & Ted: Face the Music. Reuniting Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter as Theodore “Ted” Logan and William “Bill” S. Preston Esq., the forthcoming installment sees the duo on another mission to save the world through the power of their band, Wyld Stallyns:

“The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan.  Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.”

Joining Bill and Ted on their quest to save life as we know it are their daughters Thea Preston (Samara Weaving) and Billie Logan (Brigette Lundy-Paine), along with the involvement of Ted’s younger brother Deacon (Beck Bennett), the return of the Grim Reaper (William Sadler) and Kid Cudi, who portrays himself. “[Cudi] gets mysteriously thrown around through various times, because all time and space is coming unglued,” director Dean Parisot said in an interview. A new batch of historical figures and several music legends are also scheduled to appear in the upcoming film.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Bong Joon-ho’s Cannes winner Parasite and Todd Phillips’ Joker has been included in the shortlist for the 2020 Oscars.
