Dua Saleh Delivers New Visualizer for "Pretty Kitten"
“This song is about a turbulent relationship that takes you on a wild ride.”
Towards the beginning of August, Dua Saleh served up a fittingly-titled remix project based on her debut EP from January, Nur – The Remixes. Now, choosing to support a new single in a unique way, the genre-bending artist is sharing a Zeus Jones-helmed visualizer for “Pretty Kitten.” Notably, today’s clip for “Pretty Kitten” is also being accompanied by a special set of face filters, which were crafted as a collaborative effort between Dua Saleh, Zeus Jones, @exitsimulation, @autonomy, @frenetikvoid and @after_form.
“This song is about a turbulent relationship that takes you on a wild ride. I wrote it in LA this past summer during a session with FnZ,” Dua Saleh explains to us. “I’m making the first-ever fan-generated music video made entirely of Instagram face filters. You can access the filters on my profile now. Each filter represents the non-conforming aspects of my gender identity and music. Just pick a filter and use the lyric video to lip-sync, dance or do whatever you like. DM me your submission and you might find yourself in the official music video next week on Friday, Dec 13.”
