Dior & Jordan Brand Unveil Long-Awaited Air Jordan 1 High OG Collab
Arriving in 2020.
Dior and Jordan Brand have officially confirmed the forthcoming Air Jordan 1 High OG collaboration. The shoe was revealed at Dior Men’s pre-fall 2020 show in Miami earlier tonight, following an official announcement from the two brands. Coinciding with the famed silhouette’s 35th anniversary as well as Dior Men’s collection debut in the United States, the highly-limited sneaker channels the timelessness of both the shoe as well as the iconic style of Maison Dior.
“I love mixing together different worlds, different ideas — and Jordan Brand and Maison Dior are both emblematic of absolute excellence in their fields,” Jones. “To bring them together in this special collaboration is to propose something exciting and truly new.”
Jordan Brand VP of Design, Martin Lotti, also shared a bit about the collaborative effort:
Every collaboration we do starts from a genuine connection and desire to expand the dimensions of each brand through creativity and design innovation,” “Our partnership with Maison Dior will offer a new look into the style of basketball and blend high-end streetwear with luxury fashion. We will pay homage to both brands’ rich iconography and draw inspiration from our heritage.
Made in Italy to the highest of standards, the silhouette has been crafted from fine calf-leather reminiscent of Maison Dior’s leather goods, further echoed in the Dior Gray color that rides throughout. A new take on the iconic Jumpman Wings logo is embossed on the ankle collar featuring the words “AIR DIOR.” Further echoing the riotous collaboration is the Nike Swoosh, doused with the luxury brand’s Dior Oblique jacquard motif, as well as being scaled down and laser-etched into the insoles.
The limited-edition Air Jordan 1 High OG will be available globally in Dior stores in April 2020. No pricing information has yet to be announced.
