Nike Air Ghost Racer "Copy-Paste" Is a size? Exclusive
Eye-catching details and layered construction elevate the revitalized retro runner.

Brought out of Nike‘s archives to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, the Air Ghost Racer is now set to release in a bold “Copy-Paste” colorway that’s exclusive to UK-based retailer size?. A lightweight, streamlined runner, the Ghost Racer boasts an interesting back story that’s mostly unknown to the sneaker-wearing public — a story that size? is aiming to tell with this special release.
First released in 1999, the Ghost Racer was crafted with assistance from accomplished long-distance runner Mark Nenow. A onetime US record holder in the 10,000 meter category, the Minnesota native was known to run by himself late at night. This lone wolf training regimen gave Nike Running the inspiration for the shoe’s nom de guerre. Its low-slung, yet supportive, design and responsive Zoom Air cushioning system were crafted to meet the demands of all elite high-mileage runners.
Although the Ghost Racer was originally conceptualized with pure performance in mind, the “Copy-Paste” is firmly geared towards casual wear. For instance, an airy lightweight mesh base is overlaid by white mesh/nubuck accents; this simple construction serves as a blank canvas for a plethora of unique embellishments. A duo of Swooshes — one gold, one yellow — grace the midfoot, while translucent plastic overlays reveal a black Zoom Air text hit on the quarter and the neon “Recrafted” tag is moved from its standard spot on the liner to add an outwardly visible flash of lime green.
This stacked styling is continued on the heel, which boast red, green and blue medallions, all of which are embroidered with a black Swoosh. Prints are present as well, with the tongue taking on a woodland camouflage pattern and the midsole boasting a striking splash of leopard. The aforementioned Zoom Air cushioning is loaded in the midsole for a comfortable ride, and a grippy outsole ensures all-surface traction.
The Nike Air Ghost Racer “Copy-Paste” will release exclusively at size? on December 7 with an MSRP of €105 (approximately $116 USD).
Elsewhere in the world of cutting-edge running footwear, Nike recently debuted a new “Sail/Black” colorway of the record-breaking ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%.
