Jordan Brand Gets Wild With Air Jordan 3 SP "Animal Instinct"
Featuring a pony hair upper and multiple printed patterns.

The Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Jordan 3 is one of the most influential Air Jordans of all time, and Jordan Brand is taking it in a wild new direction this holiday season with an “Animal Pack” makeup. Originally conceptualized by atmos on memorable Air Max 1s and Air Max 95s, “Animal Pack” stylings blend effortless elegance with primal aggression in equal measures — much like Michael Jordan did during his NBA career.
Fully constructed of bristly pony hair, the shoe’s upper is centered around a stark black base for a quite literal nod to MJ’s “Black Cat” nickname. An amalgamation of animal kingdom-themed accents, ranging from tiger and leopard to zebra, appear on the periphery, hitting the eyestays, heel and mudugard. Red Jumpman graphics on each tongue and wheat gold heel tabs add further contrast, with a black leather sockliner offering a premium feel. Down below, the midsole takes on a two-tone mix of white and black while the outsole opts for a classic gum hue. A finishing touch is provided by an “Instinct” badge on the inner tongue, locking in the inspiration and styling alike.
The Air Jordan 3 SP “Animal Pack” will release on December 19, with a retail price of $225 USD. A second style is also set to arrive in the spring of 2020. If you don’t feel like waiting, early pairs are available now at Stadium Goods.
