The Introduction Trailer for 'Pokémon Sword' & 'Shield' Shows-off the Game's Expansive Locations
The games are set to arrive on Nintendo Switch November 15.
Pokémon‘s official Japanese YouTube page started streaming an introduction video for its upcoming Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games for the Nintendo Switch. The new games will introduce a new UK-inspired region to explore called Galar, which is also poised to introduce an array of brand new Pokémon, like Wooloo, Gossifleur, Eldegoss, Drednaw, Corviknight and the two game’s legendary creatures.
The starter Pokémon in the games’ new Galar region will be Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble. It will also showcase new Galar-region-specific forms for pre-established Pokêmon like Ponyta, Weezing and Farfetched. Finally, the games will introduce a new mechanic called Gigantamax, which allows Pokémon to change their size, power, and abilities that allow them to use powerful G-Max techniques.
