Fresh off of a collaborative New Balance 990v5, lauded Japanese imprint BEAMS has teamed up with ASICS for a winter-ready take on the GEL-FujiTrabuco 7 GORE-TEX, first seen back in October. Featuring a chilling “Glacier Grey” colorway and plenty of technical detailing, the rugged runner is equally at home in the streets as it is on the trails, and ready for even the most inclement conditions.
The top half is all about grayscale detailing, mixing white, sail and various shades of grey for an inherently stark look. The base is constructed of a durable white GORE-TEX fabric, and nods to its construction with a silver print that works in barely noticeable GORE-TEX logos. This branding is then made much more apparent on the toebox, which equips a large gold GORE-TEX hit for the shoe’s most vivid pop of color. Sizable midfoot overlays are dressed in sail and grey, featuring a jagged pattern to accentuate the shoe’s rugged styling.
Further off-road detail appears on the toe cap and heel — the former of which features a rubberized, textured construction, the latter of which presents a mountain graphic. The only co-branded details appear on the insoles, which feature orange BEAMS and ASICS text hits. Down below, a two-tone FlyteFoam midsole and a black ASICSGrip outsole with an aggressive traction pattern complete the look.
The BEAMS x ASICS GEL-Fujitrabuco 7 GORE-TEX will release at retailers like Sneakersnstuff on November 30. The MSRP is set at $180 USD.
