Artists D*Face and Ron English recently combined both of their iconic pop-surrealist characters to create a 15-inch sculpture exclusively for DesignerCon 2019. For the art and design convention, D*Face also joined Los Angeles-based streetwear brand XLARGE for a capsule collection featuring a range of collectibles, apparel and accessories.

The highlight of the collection is a 10-inch sculpture of a brand new character that combines D*Face’s signature D*Dog with XLARGE’s OG Gorilla. Available in four variations — including an exclusive all-over gold colorway — the menacing sculptural edition is adorned with a “XLARGE” chain around its neck and the street artist’s iconic wings. For the selection of apparel, T-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies and jackets are printed with a variety of graphics that span D*Face’s artistic career and embellished with his distinct hand style.

Rounding out the collection is a collaborative BE@RBRICK available in 100% and 400% sizes, as well as a newly designed backpack and skate deck. “We are excited to have D*FACE with us at Designer-Con,” Josh Madden, Creative Director at XLARGE says. “Collectively, us at XLARGE, we are all avid fans of his art. The capsule and collectibles have drawn attention globally. We’re honored to partner with him.”

Last month, XLARGE and D*Face showcased their collaborative pieces at a pop-up event at SEIBU SHIBUYA. The entire capsule collection was available for fans to purchase at the duo’s DesignerCon booth at the Anaheim Convention Center from November 22 to 24.
