Baby Keem Shares Dave Free-Directed Video for "Orange Soda"
The fast-rising rapper is back with a new visual.
This past summer, Baby Keem continued his rise with the release of a vignette for “Honest.” Now, continuing to serve up visual treatments for his songs, the young up-and-comer is back with a new music video for his most recent single, “Orange Soda.” Notably, this week’s clip for “Orange Soda” was put together by former TDE affiliate Dave Free, who is credited as the video’s director. “Orange Soda” was initially released as a single in support of the album it found a home on, DIE FOR MY BITCH, and was produced by Keanu Beats and Baby Keem himself.
“My whole life was just music. I knew I was going to rap, but I never knew when. I never knew when I would have the voice. So I waited until I had the voice, when I was like 15. Because at the time, I used to think a deep voice was cool. I waited until my voice got deep enough, then I started rapping,” Baby Keem explained to Complex back in July. “I would write songs, but never tell nobody. I’ve been doing this for a long time … I wouldn’t even title them. They would just be written to YouTube beats. I would never record them or title them. I would just write them in my Notes [app] or on a notepad or something. This is when I used to actually write on stuff, with a pen. I don’t do that no more.”
