Stone Island Releases Video for 23rd Shadow Project Collection
Ranging from heavy down jackets to lighter outerwear pieces.
After unveiling Reflective Weave and Nylon Metal Ripstop-TC pieces, Stone Island recently dropped its Fall/Winter 2019 collection. The brand has now released its 7119 Shadow Project video for its 23rd collection.
The video investigates innovative materials and technical solutions for contemporary menswear. With a focus on maintaining maximum body heat, Stone Island uses DPM Chiné for its down jackets, creating an almost photorealistic tricolor camouflage pattern. Two rip stop constructions are offered in the collection; Naslan Rip-Stop and Dual Grid Nylon offer versatility, durability and warmth. Lasered Poly-Hide 2L offers a glimpse of the insulation inside the jackets with a laser-cut pattern and transparent exterior. More technical pieces are constructed with a SW 3L wool and nylon blend that targets performance and movability.
Accessories, such as the Gasket Gaiter and Extended Beanie, add or subtract the amount of face or neck protection that can be used with the jackets. Removable knit cuffs, panels and cargo pockets along with hidden collars are also included as utilitarian accents. Ranging from brightly colored heavy down jackets to lighter outerwear pieces, the garments can be worn in a variety of situations with their combination of style and warmth.
