UPDATE (September 24, 2019): Stone Island‘s latest exhibition in Japan is now underway, and will be on until October 6. It marks the first time the brand has exhibited its archival pieces — dating back 37 years — along with never-seen-before designs, in Tokyo. ORIGINAL STORY (September 10, 2019): Stone Island is heading to Tokyo later this month to display an archival presentation of pieces in the showcase “Stone Island Selected Works: An Archival Exhibition_Tokyo.”
The exhibition is being held at the Ba-Tsu Art Gallery in Shibuya and marks the first exhibition of key archive pieces. Garments accumulated from the past 37 years will be on display, each of which having been selected from the perspective of a modern Stone Island.
A number of these pieces have never been seen in Japan and will be joined by highly sought after originals from the first collection, as well as garments from the Prototype Research Series, which explore cutting-edge fashion technology. Experience “Stone Island Selected Works: An Archival Exhibition_Tokyo” from September 21 through to October 6.
