Stone Island Shadow Project FW19 Sees Tactical Boots & Glitch-Patterned Pieces
Classic Stoney pieces get a contemporary update.
Stone Island has presented its Fall/Winter 2019 Shadow Project collection, showcasing new fabrics and technical garments in a minimalistic lookbook.
Stone Island Shadow Project introduces new fabrics and techniques such as dual grid nylon — a garment-dyed two-layer fabric which combines a micro rip-stop polyurethane layer onto a separate rip-stop nylon layer for an industrial-textured finish. Other fabrics include the single layer fabric dubbed DPM Chiné, a unique rip-stop blend of wool and polyester, which now features a new glitchy graphic developed for the FW19 collection.
The standout piece from the lookbook is the printed leather slip-on boots. Stone Island has added suede patches to the technically-adapted boot, which features a Vibram expanded light sole unit and elasticated inlay on the collar. Other notable pieces include a digital-print nylon jacket covered in purple and red hues, a fluffy grey teddy jacket and a crinkled black parka jacket.
