Contemporary art gallery DUVE Berlin is currently hosting a two-person exhibition entitled “KARMA” that features original artworks by Brooklyn-based artist Roxanne Jackson and British painter, Oli Epp. The presentation features pieces made by the artists during their shared residency at PLOP in Central London. Epp’s dynamic figurative paintings of faceless subjects and mirror-like forms collide against Jackson’s ceramic sculptures of splayed animal heads and otherworldly creatures.
The joint showcase’s theme centers upon “action and reaction,” according to the gallery. “Through riffing on similar colors, forms, concepts, and subjects, their creative language and shared interests have become enmeshed and activated in each other’s works. The stage has been set for tragic-comic misfortunes to play out.”
“KARMA” is on view at DUVE Berlin until October 25.
