Labrinth has dropped off a visual for “Something’s Got To Give,” a new cut off his forthcoming sophomore album — his first in seven years — due November 2019. The throbbing dance tune’s music video sees the English artist traversing through seas and sand to get to his destination — a parallel of the song’s message. “I wanted to create a song in the journey of my album that encapsulated the feeling of betting your whole life on something, and being close to giving up before the big payoff,” he said in a statement.
On top of working as the lead composer in the Drake-executive produced HBO show Euphoria with Zendaya, Labrinth has been busy co-writing and co-producing Kanye West’s Jesus Is King track, “God Is.” His monumental 2019 includes additional work with Beyoncé on “Spirit” and his supergroup LSD with Sia and Diplo.
