Tetsu Nishiyama's DESCENDANT Delivers More Collaborative adidas Clothes, "Crustar" Sneakers
The WTAPS founder’s youthful label delivers color-blocked sportswear.
Tetsu Nishiyama, best known as an Ura-Harajuku icon and the founder of WTAPS, continues rolling out adidas collaborations under his more casual DESCENDANT label. Dubbed the “KEEP ROLLING” collection, the release encompasses black- or green-tinged tracksuits and two accompanying hybrid sneakers.
DESCENDANT already unleashed bespoke Campus 80s sneakers and a pair of Rivalry shoes, but the “KEEP ROLLING” capsule includes a wholly new footwear style. The “Crustar” silhouette is a fusion of the Campus and Rivalry styles, sporting black leather uppers with blue or green accents on the Three Stripes and rear. Appropriately, the sporty model is accompanied by a series of athletic-indebted wearables, including paneled track jackets, matching pants, a high-necked pullover and the monochrome “Game Jersey.”
The collaborative goods drop on adidas’ Japan’s web store and a pop-up at Taiwan’s INVINCIBLE on November 1. The sneakers weigh in at ¥18,700 JPY (approximately $170 USD) while the garments retail for ¥16,500 JPY to ¥31,900 JPY (approx. $150 USD to $290 USD).
Meanwhile, Nishiyama recently joined Nike under yet another sub-label for an SB Dunk High collaboration.
