Continuing its extensive run of store-exclusive Vans releases, BILLY’s Tokyo has added floral chenille details to the iconic Slip-On. The Japanese retailer is certainly no stranger to alternate materials — they recently used pony hair and leopard print on a three-pack of classic Vans silhouettes — but this new release is based on flora, not fauna.
The shoe’s warm look is kicked off with a soft tan canvas upper, white rubber midsole with stamped black heel badges, and vulcanized gum outsole. Signature details arrive by way of vibrant embroidered chenille flowers with green stems and red, yellow and white buds on each toebox. The right shoe features a duo of hits, equipping a multicolored bouquet of flowers on its lateral side and a smaller batch on its medial side. Meanwhile, the left shoe provides one bunch of flowers, adorning its lateral side with a collection centered around a dark purple anemone, the lone deviant from the rest of the energetic hues.
Although these Vans are indeed a BILLY’s exclusive, they’re only available through a single channel: the BILLY’s page on ZOZOTOWN. Retail is set at ¥7,700 JPY (approx. $70 USD).
In other Vans news, Feature recently reworked the Old Skool and Authentic for the “Sinner’s Club Part II” pack inspired by Las Vegas’s glitz and glam.
