The final trailer for the Russo Brothers-written 21 Bridges starring Chadwick Boseman has surfaced. The gritty action cop drama focuses on Boseman’s as an NYPD cop who’s out to capture a band of murderers who set up half a dozen cops to be killed.
The footage above is full of pulpy crime noir one-liners (most noticeably from co-stars Sienna Miller and J.K. Simmons) that set the tone for what kind of a police procedural audiences can expect. As Boseman closes in on the mystery, he orders the island of Manhattan to be shut down in order to capture the pair of killers responsible for his fellow officer’s deaths.
The plot synopsis reads as follows:
21 BRIDGES follows an embattled NYPD detective (Chadwick Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 BRIDGES to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.
Check out the final trailer above and catch 21 Bridges when it arrives in theatres November 22.
In other entertainment news, GoT creators David Benioff & D.B. Weiss have departed from the planned Star Wars Trilogy.
