A Closer Look at the FORTY PERCENT AGAINST RIGHTS x Nike SB Dunk High
Featuring details from the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 6.

Ahead of its official release later this month, we now have a closer look at the FORTY PERCENT AGAINST RIGHTS x Nike SB Dunk High. Mixing Nike SB‘s classic Dunk High silhouette with recognizable detailing from the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 6, these grey and black leather FPAR Dunks present a unique hybrid style.
This is kicked off by the tongue and throat — both of which feature detailing borrowed directly from the Air Jordan 6, namely the cut-out top, throat overlay and lace toggle. Although the design may be familiar, the method of embellishment is decidedly different, with the Air Jordan branding that’s standard in both spots replaced by both Nike SB and co-branded FPAR hits. The Air Jordan 5 inspiration is then made apparent on the medial and lateral Swooshes, both of which present textured plastic netting as a nod to its signature quarter panel.
The special embellishments aren’t limited to inspiration from some of Michael Jordan‘s most classic signature silhouettes, however. FPAR and founder Tetsu Nishiyama are well-known for their rebellious, nihilistic motifs, so a duo of those appear here as well. “Trust No One” is printed in white on the tongue, and “Don’t Follow Me” is debossed into the back half of the lateral midfoot’s swoosh, which also swaps its netting out for leather. More co-branded details on the heel tab, plastic heel piece and Zoom Air-equipped insole round off the branding, with a black midsole/outsole completing the look in full. A custom box accompanies the shoes as well.
The FORTY PERCENT AGAINST RIGHTS x Nike SB Dunk High will be available for pre-order in Japan via a pop-up shop at ISETAN MENS starting Wednesday, October 23. It’ll then see a wider release at SB stockists like The Berrics on Friday, October 25. The retail price is set at $125 USD.
In other Nike SB news, the Swoosh Brand’s skate subdivision just gave the Air Force 2 Low a Gucci-esque colorway.
