Travis Scott & DJ Khaled Show Off Unreleased OVO x Air Jordan 4 "Paint Splatter"
Teasing a potential release for the model’s 30th anniversary?
First teased last May, and then shuddering back into the shadows, the unreleased OVO x Air Jordan 4 “Paint Splatter” has returned to daylight with both Travis Scott and DJ Khaled taking to social media to post an updated look at the pairs they received. The recent teasing of the sneaker has us skeptical of whether or not the highly anticipated Air Jordan 4 iteration will be released in congruence with the models 30th anniversary this year, or whether it’s simply for friends and family.
Teasing the new pair to his collaborative track with Drake, “Sicko Mode,” Travis Scott took a brief video showcasing his enthusiasm for the sneaker. The shoe, which is based off an unreleased sample from 1989, shares a similar design to the beloved “Bred” colorway, adding red laces and a unique white and red paint splatter effect throughout the midsole and heel portions.
DJ Khaled, who has a history of receiving October’s Very Own and Jordan Brand collaborations ahead of their official releases, also got his hands on a pair, and provided a much better look via his Instagram.
Take a look at the two showing off their pairs below, and make sure to stay tuned-in as details surrounding the sneaker’s release will likely be dropping in the near future.
