sacai Debuts New Nike Sneakers During FW19 Paris Runway Show
Mixing classy elements into sporty silhouettes.

sacai debuted its latest collaboration with Nike during its Fall/Winter 2019 runway show on Saturday morning. Progressing from the splashy Spring/Summer 2019 collection, the co-labeled sneakers opt for a more subtle, monochromatic palette this season.
Embedding the Japanese fashion house’s signature collaging and layering into the design, the collaborative high-top Blazer Mid incorporates overlapping, lateral Swoosh motifs as well as two sets of laces fastened onto the lacing system. The black and “Wolf Grey” upper juxtaposing with the rugged white outsole, is detailed with a worn-out, double padded tongue tab.
A similar Blazer Mid iteration surfaced on the runway, maintaining key features of its predecessor. The new update sees the sporty-classy hybrid matching with sacai’s collection. Laces are replaced with a front zip fastening, whereas the toebox is adorned with black tassels.
Along with the duplicated Swoosh insignias, the off white mesh upper of the Waffle Racer features detachable faux-fur interweaving with the laces, while a darker shade of grey outlines the lace stays, mudguard and the heel cap. The design rounds off with an extended welt which slants inward to join the white rubber outsole.
The co-branded collection also includes multi-textured puffer jackets which comes in both black and white colorways. Check out sacai’s complete Fall/Winter 2019 collection and stay tuned for more details on the official drop date.
