A Closer Look at Nike's First Round of Air Max 720 Drops
The Swoosh’s tallest Air Bag in history.
Back in July, Nike ushered in a new chapter to the Air Max line with a first look at the Air Max 720. Shortly after this teaser of the Swoosh’s tallest Air bag yet, the brand shared news that the model is made up of more than 70% of recycled manufactured waste.
Now, for the initial launch of the Air MAx 720, Nike draws parallels to organic movements of energy, channeling some of nature’s most awe-inspiring natural phenomena, from the sunrise and sunset to desert patterns, eclipses, the northern lights and more. Color shifting also serves as a key design cue for the Air Max 720, which brings its mesh upper closer to its large Air bag.
The Nike Air Max 720 will retail for $180 USD and will officially touch down in its “Northern Lights” (Night and Day) colorway options on February 1 via select Nike retailers, Nike.com and Nike SNKRS with additional iterations such as “Sunset,” “Sunrise,” “Total Eclipse” and more to follow.
