Iconic pieces from Perry Ellis America’s original collection are on full display for the diffusion line’s second drop. Referencing its archives, Perry Ellis dives deeper in its vaults and has unearthed its streetwear staples that boast retro styles in red, black, white, and heather grey colorways.

The latest release brings back silhouettes — with their traditional, aesthetic hallmarks intact — from the ‘90s. Though the imprint is known for its menswear offerings, the styles engender a translational property within the capsule – allowing it to be worn by men and women.

Ready-to-wear items from its past are recreated in a nostalgic fashion; the range includes tracksuits, rugbies, jackets, jeans, tees, shoes and headwear. Fits from the decade are reintroduced alongside the graphic logo-ing that has been synonymous with Perry Ellis America. Primary colors, in tandem with a couple of neutral tones, have been intertwined to foster both bold and subdued appearances in the line.

Color cues from the clothes are accentuated by the backdrops used in the campaign imagery. The bright backgrounds contrast the more muted pieces to liven their essence, while artfully orchestrated lighting effects imbue the lookbook with a vintage feel that pays homage to the imprint’s DNA and the ’90s.
